We’re looking for a Freelance Resume Writer who can listen, interpret, and transform a client’s experience into job-winning language. You’ll work with a wide range of individuals — from tech professionals to creatives to career changers — and tailor resumes to their unique journeys. If you’ve got an eye for detail, a knack for structure, and a gift for words — this one’s for you. You’re not afraid to ask clarifying questions and dig for the real impact behind someone’s responsibilities. We’re looking for someone who can adapt their tone and structure depending on the client’s industry and goals. If you know the difference between ATS-friendly formatting and creative storytelling — you're already ahead. You’ll help clients overcome self-doubt and learn how to see their own experience as valuable. You won’t just write resumes — you’ll educate clients about their value in the job market. You’re comfortable rewriting vague or generic phrases into impactful, results-based language.

Basic Qualifications:

• Offer packages or upsells (e.g., resume + LinkedIn bundle) to support clients beyond just one document.
• Write clear, concise, and achievement-focused resumes tailored to the client’s industry, role, and level of experience.
• Optimize resumes for applicant tracking systems (ATS) by using relevant keywords, formatting, and structure best practices.
• Create templates or process docs to streamline intake, drafts, and delivery as your workload grows.
• Manage your own project timelines, client communication, and file delivery like a pro—reliable, respectful, and efficient.

Preferred:

• Comfortable writing LinkedIn summaries or cover letters as part of the service.
• Understands how to highlight achievements, skills, and measurable results.
• Has a portfolio or samples showcasing clean, professional resume work.
• Enjoys helping others feel more confident in their job search materials.
• Wants to help people tell their career story in a strategic and confident way.
