Description:

We’re looking for Paramedic Dispatcher Trainees who can stay calm under pressure, think fast, and offer steady guidance through chaos. This job will test you — not physically, but mentally — because you’ll hear fear, confusion, and panic on the other end of the line. You’ll be the first voice someone hears in their worst moment, and how you speak can change everything. We’ll train you on how to quickly gather details, code the situation correctly, and deploy medical units without delay. Some days, the calls won’t leave your head right away — and that’s normal, because you’re human. You’ll manage information flow in high-pressure scenarios: accidents, heart failures, seizures, unknowns — and always keep your cool. You’ll learn to recognize signs of burnout, how to take mental breaks, and how to separate the urgency of a call from your personal peace. You’ll also be taught how to manage your energy, take breaks when needed, and work in a rhythm that protects your well-being. You’ll learn radio codes, emergency protocols, and how to handle both routine and high-risk situations.

Basic Qualifications:

• Take pride in being the silent but vital link between emergencies and lifesaving care.
• Follow protocols for different emergency types while making rapid decisions.
• Balance multiple incoming calls, updates, and dispatch instructions simultaneously.
• Use dispatch software, radio systems, and maps to route ambulances efficiently.
• Support paramedics with info like access codes, hazards, or language barriers.

Preferred:

• Willing to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Wants to grow into roles like EMS Supervisor, Communications Coordinator, or 911 Operations Manager.
• Enjoys being the calm voice behind fast-moving rescue operations.
• Committed to continuous performance review and improving response efficiency.
• Able to answer emergency calls, gather critical information quickly, and dispatch paramedic units appropriately.
