We’re looking for a Remote Onboarding Specialist who thrives on helping people feel prepared, welcomed, and valued from day one. You believe the first week at a company should be exciting, not confusing. You’ll guide new hires through their first weeks, ensuring they never feel lost, ignored, or overwhelmed. You’ll coordinate training schedules, send out access credentials, and make sure no one’s stuck waiting on IT. ” You’ll build playbooks, record welcome videos, and turn routine info into something people actually want to read. You’re great at sending that one extra follow-up that turns silence into clarity. You’ll create checklists, FAQs, and onboarding documents that answer questions before they’re asked. You’ll track progress across onboarding milestones, send reminders, and celebrate small wins along the way. Basic Qualifications:
- Keep communication clear, organized, and empathetic—onboarding is more than a checklist, it’s someone’s first impression.
- Ensure legal and compliance documentation is signed, stored, and filed appropriately without chasing people every time.
- Coordinate equipment shipments, account setups, and software permissions (even if you don’t do the IT part, you’ll track it).
- Track onboarding progress using checklists or tools like Notion, Trello, or an HRIS, and follow up as needed.
- Guide new hires through the entire onboarding process, from signing documents to feeling confident in their new role.
Preferred:
- Highly organized and capable of juggling multiple onboarding timelines or tasks.
- Familiar with remote tools like Zoom, Slack, Google Workspace, and Notion.
- Open to improving processes based on feedback and new best practices.
- Knows how to track onboarding progress and follow up on outstanding items.
- Can create or maintain clear onboarding guides, video walkthroughs, or templates.
