Description:

We’re seeking a Pastry Decorator who sees confectionery as couture — someone who thrives on elegance, balance, and the kind of detail that elevates desserts from beautiful to breathtaking. You’ll be responsible for decorating cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and other specialty pastries with consistency, elegance, and creativity. You’ll follow client requests and bakery templates, while also adding your personal touch when design freedom is given. You’ll sketch ideas, choose color palettes, and plan structural components to ensure your designs are both stunning and stable. You’ll work with buttercream, ganache, fondant, chocolate, and glaze — knowing when to go bold and when to keep it simple. You’ll also prepare décor elements in advance and ensure all materials are food-safe, fresh, and visually consistent. You’ll coordinate with bakers to align flavors, fillings, and tiers with the overall vision and customer expectations. You’ll test and refine new design ideas, contributing to seasonal collections and exclusive client offerings. You’ll work in a climate-controlled decorating studio with professional tools and a small team that values silence, skill, and clean execution.

Basic Qualifications:

• Ensure consistent quality by following recipes, color guides, and design references.
• Take and review customer orders, confirming design expectations and any dietary restrictions.
• Document and label orders to avoid mix-ups, especially with personalized messages or complex designs.
• Collaborate with customers or team members to customize designs for events, themes, or special occasions.
• Stay current on trends in pastry art, color palettes, and themed styling.

Preferred:

• Values precision, patience, and creativity in food presentation.
• Thrives in creative, detail-focused environments where quality and visual appeal matter.
• Able to replicate designs across batches with consistency and quality control.
• Willing to assist in general bakery tasks like mixing, baking, or packaging when decoration tasks are complete.
• Can write legible messages on cakes and create sculpted or tiered designs with proper support.
