Description:

We’re looking for a Cook who can handle the heat — someone who moves fast, stays sharp, and turns ingredients into comfort, flavor, and consistency every shift. You’ll prepare meals from scratch or finish prep with precision, depending on the day’s flow and menu needs. You’ll manage a variety of tasks — from flipping eggs and grilling sandwiches to prepping sauces and slicing produce. You’ll follow recipes and portion guides closely to ensure every plate meets quality and presentation standards. You’ll clean as you go, keep your station neat, and help with dishes or floor cleaning when needed. You’ll manage prep lists, portioning, and rotation with discipline and a good eye for quality control. You’ll be expected to adapt quickly, whether helping on grill, sauté, pantry, or assisting with bulk prep during events. You’ll check temps, label containers, and uphold the highest food safety and sanitation practices. You’ll take feedback well, ask questions when unsure, and aim to get a little better every week.

Basic Qualifications:

• Be punctual and reliable—your presence is essential to the kitchen running smoothly.
• Communicate clearly with servers, hosts, or managers when delays or issues arise.
• Label and date all prepped items and store them correctly in fridges or dry storage.
• Train junior kitchen staff or dishwashers in prep, cleaning, or basic cooking tasks.
• Stay open to learning new techniques, recipes, or cuisines over time.

Preferred:

• Familiar with prepping for different menus including breakfast, lunch, dinner, or special events.
• Thrives in high-energy, collaborative environments where food is made with care.
• Knowledge of food handling standards, sanitation procedures, and HACCP guidelines.
• Willing to learn new recipes, cuisines, or dietary accommodations such as vegan, gluten-free, or allergen-aware dishes.
• Able to clean and maintain kitchen stations, utensils, and equipment after service.
