Description:

We’re hiring a Baker Trainee to support our vegan and gluten-free bakery — perfect for someone who’s curious about alternative baking and passionate about inclusive, ingredient-conscious recipes. You’ll begin by learning how to work with specialty flours like almond, oat, rice, and buckwheat while avoiding cross-contamination. You’ll be trained to follow house recipes carefully while still leaving room for creativity and personal touch. You’ll be trained to shape loaves, rolls, and pastries with consistency and care, following in-house recipes and ratios. You’ll help monitor baking times and temperatures, rotating trays and adjusting settings under supervision. You’ll support the mixing, shaping, and finishing of baked goods that meet strict dietary and safety guidelines. You’ll learn how to label products correctly, note allergens, and pack items with full transparency for customer confidence. You’ll assist in cleaning and sanitizing all work zones according to strict hygiene and food safety regulations. You’ll be taught how to complete production reports, log batch numbers, and track product movement through the facility.

Basic Qualifications:

• Operate ovens, mixers, proofers, and other bakery equipment safely and efficiently.
• Assist with custom orders or special items for holidays, weddings, or events.
• Maintain equipment by cleaning mixers, ovens, and utensils regularly and reporting any malfunctions.
• Stay current on baking trends, seasonal flavors, and decorating techniques.
• Comply with allergen labeling and handle cross-contamination risks carefully.

Preferred:

• Enjoys creating baked goods that bring joy, comfort, and satisfaction to others.
• Can assist with packaging, labeling, or preparing baked goods for delivery or display.
• Willing to contribute ideas for new menu items, flavors, or creative presentations.
• Open to learning seasonal items, specialty recipes, or new techniques as part of professional growth.
• Familiar with allergen handling, labeling, and recipe adjustments for dietary needs (e.g., gluten-free, vegan).
