Description:

We’re hiring a Plumber Trainee to assist with emergency plumbing services — perfect for someone who thrives under pressure, learns fast, and wants to make a real difference when problems strike. You’ll begin by learning how to service and install boilers, radiators, circulation pumps, and thermostat controls. You’ll assist in cutting, measuring, and fitting PVC, copper, and PEX piping under supervision. You’ll be trained to replace flexible hoses, traps, washers, cartridges, and other small parts quickly and cleanly. You’ll be trained to install water lines, waste systems, vent stacks, and pipe sleeves with correct slope and spacing. You’ll help prep bathrooms, kitchens, and utility rooms for future fixtures by positioning lines and testing pressure. You’ll support seasonal boiler maintenance — cleaning burners, checking ignition, inspecting flue vents, and adjusting settings. You’ll be taught how to work safely around water damage, slippery surfaces, and potential electrical hazards. You’ll help unpack, assemble, and prep water heaters, toilets, bathtubs, faucets, and other fixtures for finish work.

Basic Qualifications:

• Train or supervise apprentices and junior plumbers when applicable.
• Work in various environments—tight spaces, outdoors, basements—often in challenging conditions.
• Estimate job materials and labor costs for quotes or invoicing purposes.
• Cut, assemble, and seal pipe sections using welding, soldering, or press-fit techniques.
• Communicate clearly with clients, team members, and suppliers to keep projects on track.

Preferred:

• Can adapt to residential renovations, new construction sites, or facility maintenance roles.
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials, stand or kneel for extended periods, and work outdoors or in harsh conditions.
• Capable of training or mentoring apprentices or junior plumbers as part of a growing team.
• Background or passion in mechanical systems, construction, or hands-on trades.
• Comfortable communicating with clients, contractors, and inspectors in a professional and respectful manner.
