Description:

We’re looking for a Nanny Trainee who’s interested in learning how to care for infants and toddlers with gentleness, structure, and attention to detail. You’ll assist in building daily routines that include learning moments — whether through storytelling, creative play, or exploring nature. You’ll support age-appropriate educational activities like counting games, shape sorting, basic reading, and memory-building exercises. You’ll assist in organizing indoor and outdoor play activities that are both fun and age-appropriate. You’ll assist with homework for older kids while keeping younger siblings safely entertained nearby. You’ll engage children in imaginative play that promotes vocabulary, emotional intelligence, and cooperation with others. You’ll support age-appropriate activities like arts and crafts, storytelling, educational games, and outdoor time. You’ll be responsible for tidying play areas, cleaning up after activities, and helping maintain an organized environment. You’ll be trained in observing signs of developmental delays or emotional distress and how to report them appropriately.

Basic Qualifications:

• Encourage respectful behavior, emotional expression, and social skills through positive guidance.
• Follow daily routines such as nap times, feeding schedules, and hygiene tasks.
• Be flexible—children are unpredictable, and plans often change on the fly.
• Use gentle discipline methods in line with the family's values and established rules.
• Plan and lead age-appropriate activities that support development, creativity, and learning.

Preferred:

• Values empathy, patience, and trustworthiness in every interaction with children.
• Able to adapt to different family schedules, routines, or travel needs when necessary.
• Comfortable with screen-time limits, structured quiet time, and promoting healthy habits.
• Follows instructions closely and communicates regularly with parents regarding the child’s behavior or needs.
• Wants to grow into roles like Montessori Assistant, Childcare Manager, or Preschool Teacher.

You’ll support nap time routines, transitions between activities, and help create consistent rhythms throughout the day. You’ll communicate with parents clearly and respectfully, sharing daily updates and following instructions closely.
