Description:
We’re hiring a Web Designer Trainee who wants to learn how design solves problems, not just looks good — no experience required, just visual awareness, digital curiosity, and a desire to grow. You’ll assist in designing landing pages, UI components, and layouts under the guidance of senior designers. We’ll teach you the fundamentals of visual hierarchy, spacing, color theory, and how to design for responsiveness. You’ll support the design of homepages, product pages, blog layouts, and other common web patterns. Expect to participate in brainstorming sessions where you’ll sketch out ideas before moving to digital tools like Figma or Adobe XD. You’ll get familiar with tools like Figma, Webflow, or Adobe Creative Suite to build layouts and explore design ideas. We’ll guide you in using design systems, UI kits, and real-world constraints to stay consistent and scalable. You’ll participate in feedback sessions where you’ll learn how to iterate quickly and defend your creative choices. We’ll help you gather feedback from users or stakeholders and adjust your designs accordingly.
Basic Qualifications:
- Stay up to date with web design trends, accessibility standards, and UI/UX best practices.
- Create wireframes, mockups, and final assets using tools like Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.
- Work closely with copywriters, marketers, and product teams to align on messaging and goals.
- Use feedback constructively to improve design quality and communication.
- Bring creativity to even the smallest details—icons, buttons, error states, you name it.
Preferred:
- Able to create wireframes, UI mockups, and interactive prototypes that align with brand identity.
- Thrives in collaborative, feedback-driven environments with a blend of creativity and precision.
- Values clarity, innovation, and functionality in online user experiences.
- Open to feedback and design critique sessions to improve clarity and usability.
- Organized with file versioning, design folders, and project timelines.
Benefits:
- Design challenges, team competitions, and spotlight features on social.
- Work with devs who actually respect designers — no “make the logo bigger”.
- Flexible hours — we care about stunning designs, not clock-ins.
- See your work featured on high-traffic pages and actual campaigns.
- You’ll never design alone — tight-knit team support + real-time feedback.
You’ll get experience handing off your designs with annotations that developers will actually thank you for. You’ll learn how to think about loading speed, content hierarchy, and the “why” behind every element you place. This role is ideal for someone who’s visual, curious, and excited about making the internet a more beautiful and functional place. You’ll develop good habits around naming layers, organizing files, and preparing assets for developers. You’ll walk away with portfolio-ready projects and a clear understanding of the web design workflow. We’ll support your portfolio development with real projects you can be proud to show. By the end of the traineeship, you’ll know how to contribute to real product teams and design with purpose. If you’re ready to build beautiful, usable, thoughtful web designs — this is where you start.
