Description:

We’re seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Online Research Assistant to support our team with accurate and insightful research. You’ll be responsible for gathering information from credible online sources, ensuring all findings are relevant and up-to-date. You’ll sift through articles, reports, and databases to extract relevant data and present it in an easy-to-understand format. You’ll assist in analyzing competitors, tracking market trends, and identifying opportunities for business growth. You’ll compile reports and present findings in a concise format, summarizing large amounts of data into digestible insights. You’ll identify trends and patterns within data, helping guide our strategic decisions and future actions. You’ll help with competitor analysis, market research, and gathering data for product development or marketing purposes. You’ll help organize research findings and present them in easily digestible formats like reports and charts. You’ll work across a variety of topics, from market research to industry analysis, adapting your approach based on the project.

Basic Qualifications:

• Communicate findings clearly and professionally—no jargon unless requested.
• Above all, treat every task as a puzzle—your job is to find the best, most useful information and package it clearly.
• Stay organized using folders, naming conventions, and version control so no data gets lost or duplicated.
• Support a variety of teams—marketing, product, content, or operations—by delivering research tailored to their needs.
• Verify facts across multiple sources to ensure reliability, and flag anything that looks questionable or outdated.

Preferred:

• Open to receiving feedback and refining results for clarity or focus.
• Comfortable using Google search operators, databases, and industry-specific sources.
• Strong internet research skills and ability to find credible, up-to-date information.
• Can track changes, update files, and keep research organized for collaborative teams.
• Knows how to spot biases or inconsistencies in sources or information.
