Description:

We’re looking for a Junior Backend Developer to help us build reliable, scalable, and efficient server-side solutions. You’ll work with experienced developers to build backend infrastructure that ensures smooth communication between servers, databases, and clients. You’ll assist with building RESTful APIs, managing data flow, and integrating backend services with frontend applications. You’ll write clean, maintainable code using programming languages like Node. You’ll help integrate databases, ensuring data is stored and retrieved securely and efficiently with minimal latency. You’ll be responsible for building and maintaining RESTful APIs that enable seamless communication between frontend and backend systems. You’ll assist in identifying and solving performance bottlenecks, optimizing code to improve speed and reduce server load. You’ll work with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure to deploy applications and manage server environments. You’ll collaborate with other developers, participating in code reviews and pair programming to improve your skills.

Basic Qualifications:

• Work closely with senior developers to understand business logic, system architecture, and coding standards.
• Break down tasks into manageable chunks and track progress using tools like Jira, Trello, or Notion.
• Support the development and maintenance of backend services, APIs, and database logic using Node.js, Python, Java, or other backend languages.
• Collaborate with frontend developers to ensure data is passed and displayed correctly, and to align on API contracts.
• Document your bugs, experiments, and fixes—it helps the whole team and makes you a more thoughtful developer.

Preferred:

• Eager to improve in areas like security, scalability, and clean architecture over time.
• Proficient in at least one backend language such as Node.js, Python, Java, or PHP.
• Experience using Git for version control and collaborating on platforms like GitHub.
• Understands the basics of error handling, logging, and debugging backend services.
• Able to follow Jira boards, Trello, or other project management tools in remote teams.
