Description:

We’re hiring a dedicated Discord Moderator to help manage and grow our online community, ensuring a positive environment for all members. You’ll be responsible for maintaining a positive and respectful environment on our Discord server, ensuring that all users follow community guidelines. You’ll assist in moderating conversations, identifying disruptive behavior, and addressing any issues to maintain a safe environment. You’ll help organize and manage events, including discussions, games, and announcements, to keep the community engaged and active. You’ll monitor chat activity, ensuring that conversations remain respectful, appropriate, and in line with server rules. You’ll collaborate with other moderators to ensure fair decision-making and consistency in rule enforcement across the server. You’ll manage spam, bots, and disruptive content, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone. You’ll address user concerns and provide assistance as needed, helping to resolve issues quickly and fairly.

Basic Qualifications:

• Help onboard new members by greeting them, guiding them through server rules, and answering basic questions.
• Maintain mod chat discussions and moderation logs with professionalism and respect for privacy.
• Participate in mod meetings, contribute to rule updates, and stay aligned with the overall tone and goals of the community.
• Support events, announcements, or partnerships by pinning messages, tagging roles, and helping manage live interactions.
• Answer member questions, resolve minor conflicts, and create a friendly, inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome.

Preferred:

• Wants to help maintain a welcoming, inclusive space for people from different backgrounds.
• Can keep discussions on-topic and redirect conversations when needed.
• Willing to learn how to use moderation tools like MEE6, Dyno, or Carl-bot.
• Willing to escalate complex situations to more experienced moderators or admins.
• Can quickly learn server rules and help ensure others understand them too.

You’ll help maintain a welcoming and inclusive environment by addressing toxic behavior and ensuring everyone is treated fairly. You’ll assist in gathering feedback from community members and report any concerns to the management team. You’ll stay up to date with Discord updates and features, ensuring the server is utilizing the latest tools to improve user experience. This remote role offers flexibility, allowing you to work from anywhere while helping manage a vibrant online community.
