Description:

We’re hiring an enthusiastic Online English Tutor to help students master the English language through personalized lessons. You’ll be responsible for creating engaging lesson plans that meet the individual needs and learning goals of each student. You’ll create customized lesson plans to focus on areas such as grammar, vocabulary, writing, and speaking skills. You’ll assess student performance regularly and provide constructive feedback to help them improve and achieve their language goals. You’ll provide constructive feedback on assignments and during conversations, helping students improve their language abilities. You’ll assess student progress, adjusting lesson plans and techniques to ensure continued development and success. You’ll foster a positive learning environment, making lessons enjoyable and engaging through interactive activities and exercises. You’ll track and monitor student performance, adjusting lesson content to ensure continuous improvement.

Basic Qualifications:

• Provide regular updates to parents (for younger learners) or progress summaries for adult learners upon request.
• Stay updated with modern ESL/TEFL techniques and integrate new strategies when appropriate.
• Adapt lesson structure for kids vs. adults—what works for one may bore the other.
• Prepare lesson plans and materials focused on grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and conversational skills.
• Collect feedback after sessions and make improvements based on student needs and preferences.

Preferred:

• Open to working with students across different time zones and cultural backgrounds.
• Can adapt teaching style for kids, teens, or adults depending on age and learning style.
• Experience teaching English online or in-person, either formally or informally.
• Thrives in a remote environment and enjoys teaching through meaningful conversation.
• Wants to grow into roles like Curriculum Designer, ESL Coach, or Academic Coordinator.

You’ll provide ongoing support to students outside of scheduled lessons, answering questions and offering additional resources for self-study. You’ll maintain a flexible teaching schedule, accommodating students in different time zones and learning preferences. You’ll use innovative teaching tools and technologies to enhance learning and keep students engaged in the virtual classroom. You’ll work with a flexible schedule, providing tutoring to students from different time zones and backgrounds.
