Description:

We’re hiring a Dishwasher to support daily operations in a high-volume cafeteria — ideal for someone who values consistency, teamwork, and cleanliness in a structured kitchen setting. You’ll wash trays, utensils, pots, pans, and prep equipment used throughout breakfast, lunch, and dinner service. You’ll operate commercial dish machines, scrub large pots and pans, and ensure everything is sanitized and properly stored. You’ll help clean kitchen equipment, counters, shelves, and floors as part of daily closing routines. You’ll assist cooks and prep staff by keeping clean tools and containers available when needed. You’ll wash down prep areas, grill parts, slicers, and utensils that require extra attention after heavy use. You’ll monitor detergent levels, water temperature, and machine performance to keep things running efficiently. You’ll be trained to operate commercial dish machines and follow health department safety guidelines. You’ll rotate between washing, drying, and putting away dishes while also helping with kitchen organization.

Basic Qualifications:

• Restock soap, sanitizer, and paper towel dispensers in the dish area and bathrooms if required.
• Take out trash, recycling, and compost regularly to keep the kitchen running smoothly.
• Respect food waste handling rules and dispose of leftover food according to kitchen policies.
• Keep calm during busy hours and help others when your area is under control.
• Work quickly and efficiently while maintaining quality and attention to detail.

Preferred:

• Can manage chemical refills, dish machine upkeep, or drainage as instructed by supervisors.
• Experience working in a commercial kitchen, restaurant, or cafeteria setting as a dishwasher or kitchen helper.
• Familiar with operating commercial dishwashing machines, including loading, unloading, and proper rack usage.
• Comfortable maintaining a clean and organized dish pit area to prevent cross-contamination or delays.
• Comfortable following sanitation procedures and using appropriate cleaning chemicals safely.

You’ll rotate between on-site dishwashing, packing, setup, and final cleanup depending on the event schedule. You’ll assist in prepping or portioning cold items occasionally during slower dish periods. You’ll be expected to travel with the team, arrive on time, and represent the company professionally.
