Description:

We’re hiring a Paramedic Trainee to assist in rural and remote response units — ideal for someone who wants to learn how emergency care works far from city hospitals and support systems. You’ll begin by shadowing licensed paramedics on real calls, observing how they assess, stabilize, and transport patients under pressure. You’ll assist with preparing trauma kits, oxygen tanks, triage tags, and field equipment for rapid deployment. You’ll assist with treating a wide range of emergencies — from heart attacks and injuries to allergic reactions and animal-related trauma. You’ll be trained to adapt when resources are limited and hospital access takes 30 minutes or more by road. You’ll observe how to communicate clearly with dispatchers, emergency departments, and other first responders in high-stress environments. You’ll be trained to spot early signs of medical distress in crowds, such as dehydration, intoxication, or anxiety. You’ll learn how to respond calmly to a wide range of situations — from car accidents to cardiac arrests to non-emergency transports. You’ll observe how to maintain calm body language and reassuring tone even when spectators are tense or panicked.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Support disaster relief efforts, mass casualty events, or community outreach programs if required.
  • Remain flexible and alert throughout unpredictable, high-intensity shifts.
  • Provide advanced life support, including airway management, CPR, defibrillation, and medication administration.
  • Report equipment malfunctions or vehicle issues promptly to maintain operational readiness.
  • Stabilize patients for transport and monitor vital signs en route to medical facilities.

Preferred:

  • Familiar with infection control practices, personal protective equipment (PPE), and scene safety assessments.
  • Familiar with operating in ambulances, rescue vehicles, and responding to 911 or urgent dispatch calls.
  • Can educate patients and family members about care steps or post-discharge instructions when appropriate.
  • Wants to grow into roles like Flight Paramedic, EMS Supervisor, or Critical Care Transport Specialist.
  • Able to manage emotional stress, exposure to trauma, and unpredictable work conditions.

Benefits:

  • Flexible scheduling options — 24/48, 12-hour shifts, or custom rotations.
  • Weekly or bi-weekly pay, bonuses for night shifts and holidays.
  • Make a real difference — every shift, every call, every life.
  • Recognition for calm under pressure — not just heroic moments.
  • Mental health support is not an afterthought — debriefs, therapy options, and peer groups.

You’ll support crew debriefings after calls, helping to reset equipment, clean the vehicle, and prepare for the next response. You’ll help explain procedures to patients and families, offering reassurance during what may be stressful or confusing transitions. You’ll be exposed to community-based care — from wellness checks to transport of elderly or chronically ill patients. You’ll receive guidance on working in hot, cold, or unpredictable outdoor conditions during long shifts. You’ll be part of a public-facing team that protects health and safety while helping the event feel organized and secure. No prior field experience is required — just medical interest, emotional maturity, and the ability to learn fast under pressure. This internship is perfect for someone pursuing EMT certification or a healthcare career that thrives in real-world urgency. If you’re ready to keep crowds safe while learning from professionals on the front lines, we’re ready to train you.
