Description:
We’re looking for a WordPress Assistant who knows their way around the dashboard like it’s second nature and isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty with plugins, themes, and a little bit of HTML/CSS. You’re the type who enjoys the behind-the-scenes work that keeps a website running smoothly — whether it’s updating pages, formatting blog posts, managing menus, or troubleshooting layout quirks. You’ve probably used Elementor, Gutenberg, or other page builders, and you know how to make edits without breaking the design. You’re comfortable handling basic customizations with HTML and CSS, and you’re not afraid to dive into a plugin’s settings to get things just right. You understand how WordPress works — from the media library to permalink structures — and you’re confident helping teams stay on top of updates, backups, and general maintenance. You understand the value of keeping plugins updated, themes organized, and the media library free of chaos.
Basic Qualifications:
- Stay proactive about flagging potential issues or suggesting UX improvements based on user behavior.
- Assist in building and updating WordPress sites using themes, plugins, and custom settings—no need to reinvent the wheel, just make it clean and functional.
- Support eCommerce setups (WooCommerce) by managing products, inventory, or simple plugin settings.
- Help configure basic plugins (contact forms, analytics, caching, etc.) and test functionality before go-live.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks like updating plugins, themes, and WordPress core to keep everything secure and stable.
Preferred:
- Can handle light design tweaks using themes and theme customizers.
- Enjoys working in a remote environment and supporting others with their websites.
- Excited to grow into roles like WordPress Developer, Content Manager, or Website Administrator.
- Pays attention to SEO basics using tools like Yoast SEO or Rank Math.
- Experience editing content, pages, or blog posts within the WordPress dashboard.
Benefits:
- We value clean dashboards, lightweight themes, and smart customizations.
- You’ll help troubleshoot, maintain, and sometimes rescue sites with grace.
- We provide staging environments — so you can test without breaking live stuff.
- No gatekeeping — senior devs are happy to teach and explain.
- You’ll never be bored — one day is styling forms, the next is speed testing.
Whether it’s launching a blog post, optimizing metadata, or setting up a staging site — you handle it efficiently and without drama. You’re responsive, easy to communicate with, and take pride in supporting a team that relies on the site running smoothly. You don’t need to code from scratch, but you *do* need to know your way around a WordPress backend like a pro. If you’re someone who likes bringing order to chaos and making WordPress work better for everyone involved — this role is made for you. ” If you’ve ever fixed a site that was “just acting weird,” or helped turn a half-finished build into something ready for launch, then you already speak our language. Let’s make WordPress simpler, faster, and smoother — together.
