Description:

We’re looking for a motivated Junior Backend Developer to join our dynamic team and help create high-performance backend systems. You’ll work with experienced developers to build backend infrastructure that ensures smooth communication between servers, databases, and clients. You’ll assist in writing clean and well-documented code using backend technologies such as Node. You’ll write clean, maintainable code using programming languages like Node. You’ll assist in managing databases, ensuring data is stored securely and efficiently, and supporting scalable solutions. You’ll be responsible for helping design and implement APIs that allow communication between the backend and frontend systems. You’ll work with cloud services like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure to deploy applications and scale infrastructure as needed. You’ll gain experience working with cloud services such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure to deploy and manage applications. You’ll help ensure the security of our applications, including data protection, authentication, and authorization.

Basic Qualifications:

• Ask questions and seek mentorship when stuck—backend development can be complex, but learning fast matters more than knowing everything.
• Contribute to database migrations, schema updates, and data seeding for staging and production environments.
• Follow basic security principles like input validation, access control, and environment variable management.
• Be open to learning about CI/CD pipelines, deployment strategies, and cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Heroku, etc.).
• Participate in code reviews, retrospectives, and planning meetings to stay involved in the full development lifecycle.

Preferred:

• Excited about solving real-world problems using server-side logic and data structures.
• Familiar with relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL and how to write simple SQL queries.
• Can deploy simple apps to services like Render, Vercel, Heroku, or Railway.
• Understands how to build and consume RESTful APIs and basic CRUD operations.
• Can write clean, readable, and reusable code with comments and basic documentation.
