Description:

We’re hiring a talented Podcast Editor to join our team and help create high-quality, engaging audio content for our podcast. You’ll be responsible for editing podcast episodes, improving audio quality, and ensuring each episode is ready for publication. You’ll collaborate with hosts and producers to refine content, removing unnecessary elements and enhancing the storytelling. You’ll cut and trim audio, remove filler words, and fix any mistakes to ensure the content is clear and easy to listen to. You’ll work with audio editing tools to improve pacing, remove filler words, and adjust volume levels for clarity and consistency. You’ll ensure that each episode is formatted and edited to meet the technical requirements of podcast distribution platforms. You’ll work within tight deadlines, managing multiple episodes at once and ensuring timely delivery of each episode. You’ll assist in the creation of promotional audio clips and highlights to promote podcast episodes across various platforms.

Basic Qualifications:

• Edit raw podcast recordings into polished, professional episodes—removing filler words, pauses, background noise, and technical glitches.
• Respect NDAs and privacy when working with unreleased or sensitive content.
• Maintain an archive of raw and edited files, keeping backups organized for future edits, remasters, or republishing needs.
• Write or edit basic show notes, timestamps, and episode titles that reflect key takeaways and improve discoverability.
• Keep up with trends in podcast production, editing software, audio storytelling, and monetization strategies.

Preferred:

• Thrives in remote, creative environments where collaboration and autonomy coexist.
• Can incorporate remote recordings and fix sync or quality issues from Zoom, Riverside, or Zencastr.
• Open to batch editing multiple episodes ahead of publishing schedule.
• Understands audio editing fundamentals including trimming, noise reduction, and leveling.
• Values clarity, warmth, and emotional impact in audio experiences.
