Description:

We’re hiring a Loader Trainee who’s ready to build strength, coordination, and attention to detail while supporting daily warehouse and logistics operations. You’ll begin by learning how to load and unload shipments of perishable goods like produce, dairy, and packaged foods. You’ll learn how to handle loading tasks efficiently while maintaining safety and accuracy in a low-light, low-noise environment. You’ll help prepare outbound trucks for early-morning dispatch, arranging packages by route and delivery priority. You’ll work alongside crane operators, forklift drivers, and logistics coordinators to stage goods safely and efficiently. You’ll learn to read labels, packing slips, and checklists to confirm every item is in the right place before departure. You’ll learn how to communicate with site supervisors, crane operators, and drivers to keep things moving efficiently. You’ll be taught how to use shrink wrap, straps, and other materials to secure freight during transit. You’ll rotate between general labor tasks like sweeping, collecting scrap, or assisting with tool movement between teams.

Basic Qualifications:

• Keep loading areas clean, clear of obstacles, and compliant with safety regulations.
• Work well under pressure and complete tasks within tight loading windows or dispatch times.
• Label and organize items correctly before they are loaded for shipping or storage.
• Communicate with drivers, supervisors, or warehouse staff to coordinate loading activities.
• Lift heavy objects safely using proper techniques and request help when needed.

Preferred:

• Background or interest in logistics, shipping, warehouse operations, or freight handling.
• Familiar with proper lifting techniques and use of equipment such as pallet jacks, dollies, and hand trucks.
• Pays close attention to load distribution, weight limits, and item fragility when arranging cargo.
• Team-oriented and capable of communicating clearly with forklift drivers, warehouse clerks, or logistics teams.
• Wants to grow into roles like Forklift Operator, Loading Supervisor, or Dock Coordinator.
