Description:

We’re hiring a Security Guard Trainee for a shopping mall environment — perfect for someone who’s observant, approachable, and ready to keep public spaces safe and orderly. You’ll begin by learning nighttime patrol routines — walking buildings, checking access points, and logging observations every hour. You’ll be trained to monitor crowds, identify suspicious behavior, and respond calmly to incidents without escalating tension. You’ll assist in locking and unlocking doors according to the evening schedule, ensuring the facility is properly secured. You’ll learn how to spot signs of forced entry, broken locks, or unusual activity and report them quickly to your supervisor. You’ll receive instruction on how to handle alarms, respond to system alerts, and reset panels when needed. You’ll be taught how to stay calm under pressure and respond appropriately to suspicious behavior or alarms. You’ll be taught how to write daily shift reports and escalate any safety concerns to property managers. You’ll wear a clean, visible uniform and carry communication tools like a radio or flashlight during all patrols.

Basic Qualifications:

• Enforce company policies regarding restricted areas, visitor conduct, or safety regulations.
• Manage access logs, key control systems, or badge distribution as part of your duties.
• Stay alert during long or overnight shifts, maintaining full awareness of surroundings.
• Escort employees, visitors, or deliveries to and from buildings when security is requested.
• Support evacuations or lockdowns according to emergency preparedness procedures.

Preferred:

• Values responsibility, vigilance, and professionalism in every shift.
• Able to stand or walk for extended periods and respond quickly to situations if necessary.
• Pays attention to unusual activity, suspicious behavior, or safety hazards and reports incidents promptly.
• Experience monitoring entrances, patrolling premises, or observing surveillance systems in commercial, residential, or public areas.
• Willing to perform bag checks, perimeter rounds, or alarm system checks if required.
