Description:

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and self-motivated Online Research Assistant to support our team with gathering and analyzing data. You’ll be responsible for gathering information from credible online sources, ensuring all findings are relevant and up-to-date. You’ll sift through articles, reports, and databases to extract relevant data and present it in an easy-to-understand format. You’ll track and organize research findings, making sure key insights are easily accessible to the team. You’ll organize research findings into reports, presentations, and summaries that are clear, concise, and easy for the team to digest. You’ll assist with competitive analysis, tracking industry shifts, and finding new opportunities for growth and development. You’ll assist in gathering competitor intelligence, market trends, and customer insights to inform business strategies. You’ll help organize research findings and present them in easily digestible formats like reports and charts. You’ll track progress on ongoing research projects, ensuring all tasks are completed by deadlines and according to specifications.

Basic Qualifications:

• Manage multiple research tasks at once, prioritizing deadlines and keeping stakeholders informed of progress.
• Above all, treat every task as a puzzle—your job is to find the best, most useful information and package it clearly.
• Spot patterns and synthesize insights—not just copy-paste links, but connect the dots where possible.
• Summarize findings clearly in Google Docs, Notion, or spreadsheets—highlighting key points, links, and insights in a clean format.
• Support a variety of teams—marketing, product, content, or operations—by delivering research tailored to their needs.

Preferred:

• Familiar with tools like Google Docs, Notion, Airtable, or Excel for tracking data.
• Background or interest in communication, journalism, market research, or academia.
• Familiar with niche databases, LinkedIn search, academic journals, or market data tools.
• Can track changes, update files, and keep research organized for collaborative teams.
• Has supported blog writing, business planning, outreach, or product development with research.
