Description:

We’re looking for a responsible and proactive Discord Moderator to join our team and help manage our online community. You’ll be responsible for monitoring interactions, enforcing server rules, and making sure all members feel safe and valued. You’ll help resolve conflicts, mediate disputes, and ensure that members feel comfortable engaging within the community. You’ll help organize and manage events, including discussions, games, and announcements, to keep the community engaged and active. You’ll work with the moderation team to address inappropriate content, provide warnings, and take action against rule violations. You’ll help organize events and activities that engage the community, encourage collaboration, and keep members active. You’ll collaborate with other moderators and the community management team to ensure smooth operations and a positive atmosphere. You’ll assist in creating and updating server rules, guidelines, and FAQs to keep the community informed.

Basic Qualifications:

• Ultimately, help make the server a safe, fun, and thriving place where people want to return—not just visit.
• Maintain mod chat discussions and moderation logs with professionalism and respect for privacy.
• Help maintain a positive atmosphere by leading through example—being calm, kind, and fair even under pressure.
• Answer member questions, resolve minor conflicts, and create a friendly, inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome.
• Warn, mute, kick, or ban users when necessary to address spam, harassment, or other rule violations—using moderation tools like Dyno, Carl-bot, or MEE6.

Preferred:

• Comfortable volunteering a few hours per week and being consistent with availability.
• Interested in helping organize server activities or events to keep the community engaged.
• Organized and responsive, especially when it comes to scheduled shifts or task reminders.
• Willing to escalate complex situations to more experienced moderators or admins.
• Values fairness, communication, and teamwork in all community interactions.

You’ll provide feedback and suggestions to improve the community’s health, ensuring members feel heard and valued. You’ll track and report on community health, providing regular updates to the team and offering solutions to any issues. You’ll stay up to date with Discord updates, ensuring the server’s functionality and moderation features are optimized. This remote role offers flexibility, allowing you to work from anywhere while contributing to the success of the community.
