Description:
We’re hiring a Social Worker to support individuals and families navigating complex challenges — ideal for someone who’s empathetic, resourceful, and committed to creating real impact through human connection. You’ll work with teens and pre-teens in schools, shelters, or community centers, helping them navigate mental health, peer pressure, and identity issues. You’ll conduct one-on-one sessions, group workshops, or family meetings to support healthy development and communication. You’ll help patients understand their care options, insurance coverage, and available support services. You’ll coordinate post-discharge care such as home health, rehab placement, hospice referrals, or transportation services. You’ll be trained to recognize warning signs of depression, anxiety, trauma, or risk behavior and take appropriate action. You’ll work with diverse populations, including youth, seniors, people with disabilities, and those facing poverty, abuse, or trauma. You’ll collaborate with teachers, counselors, and juvenile services to ensure at-risk youth receive coordinated care. You’ll provide emotional support during critical life transitions such as illness, loss, relocation, or recovery.
Basic Qualifications:
- Maintain cultural sensitivity and adapt approaches to diverse backgrounds and values.
- Balance large caseloads while ensuring each client receives consistent attention and care.
- De-escalate conflicts and promote communication within families or support networks.
- Develop and implement individualized care or support plans tailored to each client's situation.
- Handle emotional stress in a healthy way and seek supervision or support when needed.
Preferred:
- Background or passion in advocacy, social justice, family services, or mental health support.
- Values empathy, accountability, and empowerment in every client interaction.
- Willing to help clients navigate systems such as healthcare, housing, education, or employment services.
- Open to working in schools, shelters, hospitals, correctional facilities, or nonprofit organizations.
- Thrives in people-focused environments where compassion and structure go hand in hand.
Benefits:
- Recognition — the hard work you do is seen, and we take time to appreciate your contributions.
- A supportive, team-based environment — collaborate with other professionals to provide holistic care.
- Ability to build lasting relationships — you’ll create bonds that go beyond just a job.
- Clear career progression — whether you want to specialize or move into management, we offer growth opportunities.
- Room to innovate — we encourage social workers to bring new ideas to the table.
You’ll document all assessments, interventions, and referrals in patient records with precision and confidentiality. You’ll help de-escalate stressful situations with calm communication, empathy, and boundary-setting. You’ll provide guidance during sensitive conversations about substance use, gender identity, family conflict, or self-worth. You’ll receive training in de-escalation, harm reduction, and culturally competent communication with diverse populations. You’ll be a steady source of calm during high-stress conversations, guiding families toward empathy and shared goals. You’ll be part of a deeply collaborative field team that works hands-on, in unpredictable conditions, with real impact. No prior experience is required — just patience, emotional intelligence, and the ability to connect with youth from all walks of life. If you're ready to walk beside people in their hardest moments and help guide them toward clarity and support, we’re ready to welcome you to hospital social work. If you’re ready to help people rebuild their lives with dignity and guidance, we’re ready to welcome you as a Social Worker.
