Description:

We’re hiring a Caregiver to provide compassionate support for clients in palliative or end-of-life care — ideal for someone who can offer calm, respectful presence during life’s most delicate moments. You’ll assist with daily routines such as dressing, hygiene, feeding, and transitions between activities, tailored to each child’s abilities and preferences. You’ll prepare light meals, help manage special diets, and ensure regular hydration throughout the day. You’ll stay alert throughout the night, ready to respond to calls, movement, or signs of discomfort. You’ll support light housekeeping such as laundry, dishes, and tidying up to maintain a safe and clean living environment. You’ll assist with checking on breathing patterns, temperature comfort, or medical equipment if required. You’ll collaborate with parents, therapists, and educators to maintain consistency and reinforce goals from home to school. You’ll rotate shifts that include quiet overnight presence, daytime care, or support during family visitation hours. You’ll be trained in fall prevention, nighttime mobility support, and gentle repositioning techniques.

Basic Qualifications:

• Be reliable, punctual, and compassionate—someone families can trust and depend on.
• Track activities, meals, mood, and care tasks in logs if required by family or agency.
• Help with mobility—transferring, walking support, or wheelchair assistance.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals based on dietary restrictions or preferences.
• Use equipment like walkers, lifts, or safety rails properly and safely.

Preferred:

• Familiar with basic first aid and CPR, or willing to complete certification as required.
• Comfortable using home care documentation tools or apps for shift updates and reporting.
• Able to assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting while respecting the dignity and privacy of clients.
• Pays close attention to hygiene, skin care, and dietary needs based on client routines or medical recommendations.
• Willing to provide end-of-life care with compassion, presence, and dignity when required.
