Description:

We’re hiring an enthusiastic Online English Tutor to help students master the English language through personalized lessons. You’ll be responsible for teaching English to students of all ages, providing personalized instruction based on their proficiency level. You’ll teach English to students of various ages and proficiency levels, adapting your approach to meet their individual learning styles. You’ll assess student performance regularly and provide constructive feedback to help them improve and achieve their language goals. You’ll help students with pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary building, and conversational English, adapting lessons to their interests. You’ll help students prepare for exams by reviewing practice tests, offering test-taking strategies, and addressing their concerns. You’ll create a positive and motivating learning environment that fosters student confidence and engagement. You’ll help students prepare for English exams by reviewing key test-taking strategies and focusing on areas of weakness.

Basic Qualifications:

• Prepare lesson plans and materials focused on grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and conversational skills.
• Maintain punctuality and professionalism—respecting student time and showing up prepared, even across time zones.
• Assign homework, reading tasks, or writing exercises that reinforce class topics and support independent study.
• Balance speaking, listening, reading, and writing activities for a well-rounded learning experience.
• Stay patient and adaptable—some students need more time, repetition, or confidence-building to thrive.

Preferred:

• Knows how to build rapport and make students feel safe to speak and ask questions.
• Experience teaching English online or in-person, either formally or informally.
• Uses online resources like ESL worksheets, YouTube, or news articles effectively.
• Familiar with teaching platforms like Zoom, Google Meet, or ClassIn.
• Can handle technical issues calmly and offer flexible rescheduling when needed.
