Description:
We’re hiring a CNC Machine Operator Trainee — no prior experience required, just a serious attitude, steady hands, and the willingness to learn the right way from day one. You’ll work alongside experienced machinists who will teach you how to run high-precision equipment safely, efficiently, and with pride in every part you help produce. You’ll be introduced to CNC machines that run with sensors, digital dashboards, tool-life monitoring, and built-in quality alerts — and we’ll show you how it all works. You’ll learn how to prepare the machine for production: zeroing axes, setting work offsets, loading tool libraries, and confirming safety protocols step by step. You’ll run CNC equipment during off-hours, with support nearby but not always right next to you — and that trust means something here. You’ll start with basics: loading raw material, inspecting tools, checking coolant levels, and keeping logs of every cycle you run. You’ll help inspect parts using micrometers, bore gauges, and surface roughness testers — because quality here isn’t visual, it’s measurable down to the micron. You’ll be responsible for first-part inspection, documenting dimensions, and flagging anything out of spec before it becomes scrap. You’ll measure parts using calipers, micrometers, and height gauges, and double-check your numbers before moving forward.
Basic Qualifications:
- Adhere to company policies regarding production schedules, timekeeping, and safety protocols.
- Ensure proper labeling, packaging, and transfer of completed parts to the next stage of production or quality control.
- Ultimately, ensure precision parts are produced accurately, efficiently, and safely—supporting the backbone of modern manufacturing.
- Participate in shift handovers by communicating machine status, tool usage, and production priorities to incoming teams.
- Follow safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE when working with machinery, sharp tools, or hot surfaces.
Preferred:
- Experience running quality checks and documenting measurements for QA reporting.
- Pays close attention to machine sounds and wear signs to detect potential malfunctions early.
- Organized in managing job orders, material inventory, and scrap tracking.
- Experience operating CNC machines such as mills, lathes, or routers in a production environment.
- Values precision, consistency, and quality in every stage of the machining process.
Benefits:
- Stable full-time work with zero guesswork — we believe in reliable schedules.
- Every part you make helps build something bigger — and that’s worth showing up for.
- Team lunches, tool upgrade votes, and music on the floor (within reason).
- Supervisors who actually listen and help, not just bark orders.
- Health insurance, sick days, and real paid vacations — because you're not a robot.
You’ll troubleshoot minor issues on the fly, and escalate problems when precision or safety could be compromised. You’ll work alongside experienced machinists and programmers who respect the machines — but also know their limits. You’ll learn new materials, tool types, and cutting techniques as we evolve our processes and expand our capabilities. You’ll work in a calm, focused environment where speed comes only after consistency, and no one rushes what must be exact. You’ll discover that working nights isn’t just about peace and quiet — it’s about being reliable, alert, and taking pride in holding the line. You won’t just help make parts — you’ll learn how to make parts *right*, and understand what separates average from excellent. You’ll finish this internship with real hands-on skill, industry vocabulary, and a clear sense of whether this path is truly yours. If you take pride in doing things carefully, learning things properly, and becoming someone others can count on — we’d be proud to train you. ” If you value quiet focus, technical skill, and the satisfaction of solo work done well — we’re ready to train you after dark.
