Description:

We’re offering a position for a Security System Installer Trainee — no experience required, just a calm, focused mindset and a desire to do meaningful work. You’ll help install systems that protect people’s homes, businesses, and peace of mind — quietly, carefully, and thoroughly. No worries — we’ll train you from the ground up. We’ll teach you how to drill safely, mount cameras properly, and run cable with precision behind walls and ceilings. Expect to handle drills, ladders, testers, and other equipment while being trained on proper safety protocols. You’ll work side by side with experienced installers who will walk you through how alarm panels, sensors, and cameras work together. Expect to use drills, testers, crimping tools, cable fishers, and mobile tablets as part of your daily work. Expect variety — every site is different, every layout unique, and every client needs a solution that fits them. We’ll guide you in understanding system layouts, battery backups, wireless signal ranges, and router placement.

Basic Qualifications:

• Explain to customers how to use their new systems in simple, clear language.
• Keep tools and equipment organized and ready for each job.
• Follow all local electrical and safety codes during installations.
• Provide maintenance and upgrades when systems need a refresh or add-ons.
• Stay calm and patient with clients who may not be tech-savvy.

Preferred:

• Pays close attention to detail to ensure all components are correctly positioned and functioning.
• Can assist in training clients on emergency response procedures and system features.
• Enjoys solving problems and working with both hardware and software tools.
• Familiar with running cables, mounting cameras, setting up DVR/NVR systems, and testing sensors.
• Comfortable reading blueprints, technical diagrams, or installation manuals to determine optimal device placement.
