We’re hiring Phlebotomist Trainees — no experience required, just steady hands, a calm voice, and a genuine desire to help people. You’ll learn how to perform blood draws in non-clinical environments like patient homes, workplaces, and care facilities. We’ll teach you how to prepare the space, engage with families, and explain procedures in kid-friendly language. You’ll learn to draw blood using proper technique, maintain sterile procedures, and monitor donors for reactions or discomfort. This job is about skill and safety — but also about gratitude, encouragement, and clear communication. Patients may be elderly, homebound, or managing chronic conditions — your ability to explain, reassure, and respect their space is just as important as your technique. You’ll become skilled at working independently while staying connected to the lab team and communicating in real-time. You’ll become comfortable working with nurses, pediatricians, and parents as part of a care team focused on comfort and accuracy. You’ll work alongside night nurses, lab techs, and emergency staff, gaining real experience in hospital operations when the world is quiet.

Basic Qualifications:

• Deliver collected samples to the lab promptly and handle with care.
• Dispose of needles, gloves, and biohazard waste properly after each draw.
• Be punctual and organized—your role often sets the tone for a patient's lab visit.
• Remain calm and gentle, even in busy or high-stress environments.
• Monitor patients for dizziness or fainting and respond quickly if needed.

Preferred:

• Able to follow chain-of-custody procedures for drug screenings or forensic tests.
• Values precision, cleanliness, and patient-centered care in every interaction.
• Knows how to handle fainting, nausea, or adverse reactions during collection.
• Open to working in outpatient labs, hospitals, mobile units, or long-term care facilities.
• Experienced in using collection systems such as vacutainers, butterflies, and syringes.
