Description:
We’re looking for a Cook who can handle the heat — someone who moves fast, stays sharp, and turns ingredients into comfort, flavor, and consistency every shift. You don’t need experience — just a real interest in cooking, a good attitude, and the willingness to try your best every shift. You’ll work alongside a kitchen team, communicating clearly and keeping the pace steady during slow hours and busy rushes alike. You’ll follow recipes and portion guides closely to ensure every plate meets quality and presentation standards. You’ll rotate stock, label ingredients, and track freshness to keep the kitchen running safely and efficiently. You’ll learn how to handle knives safely, follow recipes closely, and understand timing in a working kitchen. You’ll be expected to stay cool under pressure, adapt to unexpected changes, and recover fast when mistakes happen. You’ll help with morning prep or evening close-down depending on your shift, and take responsibility for your tools and space. You’ll support the team by jumping in wherever needed — from slicing and dicing to washing and wiping.
Basic Qualifications:
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary ingredients, tools, and equipment before each shift.
- Train junior kitchen staff or dishwashers in prep, cleaning, or basic cooking tasks.
- Support team members across stations and step in wherever help is needed during peak times.
- Taste and adjust seasoning or texture as needed to maintain quality standards.
- Prepare meals according to recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines.
Preferred:
- Wants to grow into roles like Line Cook, Sous Chef, or Head Chef.
- Background or interest in culinary arts, hospitality, or food service.
- Open to early morning, evening, weekend, or holiday shifts as needed.
- Willing to learn new recipes, cuisines, or dietary accommodations such as vegan, gluten-free, or allergen-aware dishes.
- Organized with labeling, storing, and restocking ingredients to minimize waste and ensure consistency.
