Description:

We’re hiring a Shoe Repair Specialist to restore high-end and designer footwear — ideal for someone who values precision, discretion, and the art of premium craftsmanship. You’ll work hands-on with leather, rubber, fabric, and synthetic materials to repair, reinforce, and reshape shoes of all styles. You’ll be trained to replace soles and heels, patch tears, restitch seams, and restore worn-down parts using professional tools. You’ll replace heels, re-glue soles, stitch torn uppers, and polish shoes while customers browse or shop nearby. You’ll operate specialized machines like grinders, sanders, stitchers, and presses while following strict safety procedures. You’ll assist with protective sole installations, custom taps, heel plates, and invisible sole guards for designer footwear. You’ll operate grinders, finishers, hand tools, and glue presses with speed, precision, and proper safety. You’ll assist with protective sole installation, adhesive repairs, and preventive treatments using travel-safe materials. You’ll maintain a tidy mobile station and keep your toolkit stocked, sanitized, and ready for multiple jobs per day.

Basic Qualifications:

• Perform quality control checks before returning items to ensure satisfaction.
• Work independently or as part of a small shop team in a focused, hands-on environment.
• Represent your shop or brand through quality, reliability, and respect for the craft.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation and keep tools in good working condition.
• Apply protective treatments like waterproofing, dyes, or sole guards when requested.

Preferred:

• Able to handle a high volume of repairs while maintaining consistent quality and attention to detail.
• Wants to grow into roles like Head Cobbler, Workshop Owner, or Artisan Footwear Designer.
• Understands how to match replacement parts like soles, laces, and eyelets to maintain the original shoe design.
• Capable of offering personalized care for orthopedic or custom-fit footwear.
• Familiar with using digital payment systems, service logs, or basic POS software in a repair shop setting.
