Description:

We’re looking for an experienced Discord Moderator to join our team and help manage our growing online community. You’ll be responsible for maintaining a positive and respectful environment on our Discord server, ensuring that all users follow community guidelines. You’ll monitor chat activity, keeping conversations on-topic and free of negativity, spam, and harassment. You’ll assist in creating and enforcing server rules, ensuring that every member understands and adheres to the guidelines. You’ll work with the moderation team to address inappropriate content, provide warnings, and take action against rule violations. You’ll work closely with other moderators to implement and enforce server rules, ensuring consistency and fairness. You’ll be the first point of contact for users with questions or concerns, providing timely and helpful responses. You’ll moderate voice and text channels to ensure the server remains friendly, informative, and free of spam or disruptive behavior.

Basic Qualifications:

• Contribute to moderation documentation or SOPs so new mods can learn best practices quickly.
• Help maintain a positive atmosphere by leading through example—being calm, kind, and fair even under pressure.
• Tag the right roles, use bot commands correctly, and maintain clarity in mod-logs and moderation actions.
• Use slowmode, lockdowns, or channel-specific permissions when needed to control chaos during raids or drama.
• Help test new bots, features, or server changes before they’re rolled out to the whole community.

Preferred:

• Wants to help maintain a welcoming, inclusive space for people from different backgrounds.
• Comfortable reminding members about the rules in a friendly and fair way.
• Background or interest in online communities, gaming, education, or fan spaces.
• Can keep discussions on-topic and redirect conversations when needed.
• Enjoys being part of a team and working behind the scenes to help things run smoothly.

You’ll stay updated with Discord platform changes and implement new features to improve community interaction and moderation.
