Description:

We’re hiring a Cashier who knows how to make people feel welcome — someone who brings a friendly smile, clear communication, and great energy to every shift. You’ll be the first and last interaction many customers have with us, so your role sets the tone and leaves a lasting impression. You’ll operate the register, scan items, process payments, and handle returns while keeping everything accurate and efficient. You’ll keep your workspace clean, your drawer balanced, and your attention sharp from open to close. You’ll learn how to stay organized, count change accurately, and keep your station clean and ready for the next guest. You’ll keep your area clean, organized, and stocked with bags, receipt paper, and any promotional materials. You’ll help with price checks, returns, exchanges, and receipts, always keeping a calm and respectful tone. You’ll be part of a team that values communication, teamwork, and keeping lines moving efficiently without making anyone feel rushed. You’ll take part in opening and closing routines, counting drawers and preparing deposits when required.

Basic Qualifications:

• Provide correct change and issue receipts with a smile and clear communication.
• Stay calm and polite when customers are frustrated, even if it’s not your fault.
• Communicate clearly with supervisors if issues or unusual transactions arise.
• Process returns and exchanges accurately while checking receipts and item condition.
• Promote loyalty programs, discounts, or upsells when appropriate without being pushy.

Preferred:

• Organized with receipts, coupons, loyalty programs, and point redemptions.
• Willing to help de-escalate conflicts calmly and refer customers to supervisors when needed.
• Able to communicate clearly with coworkers, managers, and customers of all ages.
• Willing to help with restocking near registers, merchandising impulse buys, or monitoring front-end cleanliness.
• Can quickly learn and adapt to new store systems, scanners, or payment technologies.
