We’re looking for a YouTube Shorts Manager who understands what makes people stop scrolling and start watching. This role is all about creating fast-paced, engaging content that stops the scroll and drives views on YouTube’s Shorts platform. You’ll be in charge of planning, scripting, producing, and publishing Shorts that align with our brand and keep up with the ever-changing algorithm. If you’re someone who understands what makes YouTube Shorts tick, knows how to optimize for the platform, and can experiment with new formats, we want you. You’ll work closely with our marketing and content teams to ensure our messaging is always sharp, fun, and trend-aligned. Whether you’re chopping up long-form content into snackable bites or producing original concepts, you’ll need to do it quickly, creatively, and with a deep understanding of what performs well in vertical video. If you’ve ever found yourself analyzing retention graphs on Creator Studio for fun — you’re in the right place.
Basic Qualifications:
- Maintain a consistent upload schedule and ensure every video aligns with the brand’s tone and content pillars.
- Ensure Shorts are accessible, with captions, clear visuals, and good pacing across devices.
- Balance storytelling and punchiness—every second of a Short matters.
- Study Shorts trends, competitor channels, and analytics to refine content strategy.
- Engage with comments and community feedback to inform future content direction.
Preferred:
- Comfortable working on a tight schedule and delivering content quickly without sacrificing quality.
- Knows how to A/B test variations and track which formats perform best over time.
- Knows how to structure videos for replays, looping, and maximum engagement.
- Knows how to craft effective hooks in the first 3 seconds to boost viewer retention.
- Has managed or contributed to a YouTube channel with consistent content uploads.
