Description:

We’re seeking a Cashier who brings consistency, courtesy, and confidence to every transaction — someone who understands that checkout isn’t just about speed, but about closing each visit on a high note. You’ll be the friendly face customers see at checkout, helping them complete their shopping with ease and satisfaction. You’ll operate the cash register, handle cash, cards, mobile payments, and give correct change with confidence and care. You’ll greet every customer with genuine enthusiasm and treat each one with kindness and patience — even during the busiest moments. You’ll help answer quick questions, recommend popular products, and connect customers with team members when needed. You’ll follow proper cash handling procedures, maintain register accuracy, and alert supervisors if issues arise. You’ll be part of a supportive team where asking questions is encouraged and helping each other is part of the daily routine. You’ll alert supervisors to register issues, pricing inconsistencies, or anything that might slow the flow of service. You’ll take part in opening and closing routines, counting drawers and preparing deposits when required.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bag items neatly and efficiently while being mindful of product weight and safety.
• Monitor checkout lines and help speed up the process during rush hours.
• Notice when customers need help and offer assistance, even if they don’t ask.
• Thank every customer genuinely—it’s the last impression before they leave.
• Stay alert to potential theft or suspicious activity and follow store protocols.

Preferred:

• Understands the importance of cleanliness, appearance, and station organization.
• Can assist with bagging purchases, gift wrapping, or packaging fragile items safely.
• Able to handle cash, credit/debit transactions, mobile payments, and provide accurate change.
• Knows how to balance a till, count cash drawers, and follow proper cash-handling procedures.
• Willing to assist with curbside pickup, online order processing, or express lanes if required.
