Description:

We’re hiring a Commercial Locksmith to install, maintain, and troubleshoot lock systems in office buildings, hotels, schools, and warehouses — perfect for someone who’s detail-oriented, discreet, and experienced with large-scale security systems. You’ll install smart locks, keypads, fingerprint scanners, and mobile-controlled entry systems for homes, apartments, and businesses. You’ll remove old hardware, prepare doors and frames, and ensure seamless installation of new digital access products. You’ll connect smart devices to Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, set up mobile apps, and walk clients through how to use their new system. You’ll use mechanical and electronic tools to diagnose issues, drill locks when necessary, and replace damaged components. You’ll rotate on-call shifts — including nights, weekends, and holidays — to provide 24/7 availability to clients in need. You’ll document all services provided, verify vehicle ownership, and ensure all security protocols are followed at every job. You’ll work with tow companies, insurance providers, dealerships, and direct customers depending on the call source. You’ll maintain documentation for each site, including key logs, work orders, and digital access history when applicable.

Basic Qualifications:

• Work on automotive locks—cutting transponder keys, reprogramming FOBs, or unlocking doors.
• Handle safes, vaults, or secure storage units, including safe cracking when legally authorized.
• Install, repair, and replace locks on doors, windows, safes, and security systems.
• Coordinate with property managers, police, or building contractors on complex lock systems.
• Track inventory of parts like lock cylinders, pins, keys, and electronic components.

Preferred:

• Values integrity, patience, and problem-solving in helping clients secure their property.
• Pays close attention to cleanliness, professionalism, and worksite safety during every job.
• Understands how to protect client confidentiality and handle sensitive security information responsibly.
• Licensed or certified as a locksmith (where required) with a strong understanding of local security regulations and locksmith ethics.
• Background or strong interest in mechanical systems, security hardware, or precision craftsmanship.

You’ll drive a service vehicle equipped with modern tools, digital hardware, and support gear for smart installs. You’ll document installations, collect signatures, and track warranty information through a mobile field app. You’ll assist in commercial rekeying projects, secure file cabinet systems, or panic bar installations as needed. You’ll receive support from a central operations team that helps with routing, call screening, and technical support if needed. You’ll assist in system resets, code recoveries, and lockouts caused by user error or app malfunctions.
