Description:

We’re hiring a Manicurist Trainee to assist in a luxury nail salon — ideal for someone who values elegance, discretion, and delivering a flawless client experience. You’ll begin by learning how to prepare your station to luxury standards — crisp towels, perfect lighting, and spotless tools. You’ll assist in basic manicures — soaking, trimming, filing, and buffing nails with precision and care. You’ll be trained to use forms, tips, and sculpting techniques to build strong, well-balanced nail structures. You’ll learn how to adapt to different environments — small apartments, corporate lounges, or outdoor patios — while maintaining salon-level quality. You’ll assist in preparing herbal soaks, warm oil wraps, and hand massages that restore rather than strip the skin. You’ll be taught to work without drills or aggressive tools, focusing on preserving the integrity of the natural nail. You’ll help maintain tools and stations, following hygiene standards like sterilizing metal tools and using disposable files when required. You’ll help manage schedules, confirm bookings, and adjust time slots based on traffic or last-minute changes.

Basic Qualifications:

• Suggest aftercare products or routines to help clients maintain their nails between visits.
• Stay up to date on nail trends, techniques, and product innovations to offer modern services.
• Use electric files, UV lamps, and other equipment properly and safely.
• Handle nail art, decals, rhinestones, and freehand designs for special events or custom looks.
• Be flexible and adapt to different nail lengths, shapes, and client style requests.

Preferred:

• Background or passion in nail art, beauty therapy, cosmetology, or fashion.
• Comfortable performing spa-level treatments including exfoliation, massage, or paraffin wax as needed.
• Familiar with handling various nail shapes (e.g., almond, coffin, stiletto) and extensions or overlays.
• Enjoys making clients feel confident, pampered, and satisfied with beautiful nail work.
• Open to receiving feedback and continuously improving technique through workshops or certification upgrades.
