Description:

We’re looking for a talented Podcast Editor to join our team and help deliver high-quality audio content for our audience. You’ll be responsible for editing audio recordings, removing unwanted noises, and enhancing sound quality to deliver professional results. You’ll collaborate with podcast hosts and producers to ensure the final product meets the vision and tone of each episode. You’ll clean up audio files, remove background noise, and adjust levels to ensure the best possible sound quality for each episode. You’ll work with audio editing software to clean up background noise, remove filler words, and ensure the audio is clear and crisp. You’ll ensure that all podcast episodes are well-paced, removing filler words and unnecessary segments to keep the content flowing. You’ll work within tight deadlines, managing multiple episodes at once and ensuring timely delivery of each episode. You’ll ensure that each episode meets technical specifications, optimizing audio for different platforms and devices.

Basic Qualifications:

• Stay aligned with the brand’s tone and editorial vision—whether it’s casual and conversational or polished and journalistic.
• Edit raw podcast recordings into polished, professional episodes—removing filler words, pauses, background noise, and technical glitches.
• Respect NDAs and privacy when working with unreleased or sensitive content.
• Adjust editing based on guest dynamics, content type (interview vs. solo), and intended audience.
• Ensure all content meets podcast platform guidelines (Apple, Spotify, etc.) and follows copyright best practices.

Preferred:

• Familiar with podcast publishing tools like Anchor, Libsyn, Buzzsprout, or RSS management.
• Knows how to keep a consistent sound across episodes, seasons, and voice styles.
• Open to batch editing multiple episodes ahead of publishing schedule.
• Comfortable editing for flow, removing filler words, long pauses, or background noise.
• Understands the importance of brand tone, pacing, and audience expectations for each podcast.

You’ll ensure that episodes are ready for distribution, including proper formatting, tagging, and publishing on platforms. You’ll ensure all episodes are uploaded, including proper tagging, descriptions, and metadata for search optimization. This remote role provides flexibility, allowing you to work from anywhere while contributing to the success of an exciting podcast.
