Description:

We’re hiring a skilled Translation Specialist to join our team and provide accurate and culturally relevant translations for a variety of content. You’ll be responsible for translating a wide range of content, including legal, technical, and marketing materials. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to ensure all translations meet client requirements and are aligned with their brand voice. You’ll work on translating documents, websites, marketing materials, and more, ensuring that the original meaning is preserved. You’ll review and proofread translated materials to ensure they are free from errors and reflect the intended tone and style. You’ll ensure all translated content is properly formatted, taking into account industry-specific terminology and client preferences. You’ll use translation tools and software to maintain consistency and improve efficiency across projects. You’ll be responsible for managing multiple translation projects, ensuring they are completed on time and meet client expectations.

Basic Qualifications:

• Use CAT tools (e.g., SDL Trados, memoQ, Smartcat) or translation memory systems to improve efficiency and maintain terminology.
• Proofread and edit translations for grammar, flow, and consistency—delivering polished, professional results.
• Work independently in a remote setting—planning your workflow, managing time zones, and staying self-disciplined.
• Adapt language and tone to suit the target audience—what works in English might need cultural tweaking elsewhere.
• Collaborate with editors, proofreaders, or QA reviewers to refine and finalize translated content.

Preferred:

• Knows how to prioritize meaning and readability over literal translation when appropriate.
• Comfortable researching industry-specific terms to ensure accuracy and clarity.
• Understands confidentiality standards and the handling of sensitive or proprietary materials.
• Pays close attention to nuances, idioms, and phrasing in both source and target languages.
• Willing to follow style guides and formatting instructions for consistency.
