Description:

We’re looking for a Film Director who knows how to turn a vision into a visceral experience — someone who leads with intent, collaborates with empathy, and crafts stories that resonate on screen and beyond. You’ll be responsible for shaping the overall tone, pacing, and narrative of each project, guiding it from concept to final cut. From the first read to the final cut, you’ll shape the tone, rhythm, and depth of each story with precision and heart. We expect you to direct talent with sensitivity and clarity, drawing out performances that feel raw, layered, and alive. You’ll make critical decisions around camera movement, blocking, and framing to maximize narrative and visual impact. Your creative direction will influence everything from costume design to lighting tone to soundscape strategy. You’ll be involved in casting, location scouting, shot listing, and building a cohesive creative team around the project. You’ll work hands-on in pre-production — storyboarding, selecting locations, assembling crew, and aligning artistic departments. You’ll oversee post-production from assembly through grading and final sound mix, sculpting the final arc scene by scene.

Basic Qualifications:

• Create an environment where creativity thrives and every crew member feels valued.
• Provide final approval on the film’s pacing, tone, soundtrack, and overall feel.
• Make split-second creative choices on set when unforeseen challenges arise.
• Watch daily footage (dailies) to catch issues early and ensure continuity.
• Push creative boundaries without losing sight of the story’s emotional truth.

Preferred:

• Enjoys guiding teams toward a unified creative vision from concept to screen.
• Open to directing both live-action and hybrid/multimedia content depending on the project.
• Willing to collaborate with writers, producers, and creative teams from concept to final cut.
• Familiar with directing across genres such as drama, comedy, documentary, or experimental.
• Background or strong passion in filmmaking, directing, screenwriting, or visual arts.
