Description:
We’re hiring a Courier Trainee who’s reliable, punctual, and ready to learn how to deliver items safely, quickly, and with a professional attitude. You’ll start by shadowing experienced couriers to learn optimal routes, safe driving or riding practices, and customer service basics. You’ll learn how to plan multi-stop routes, factoring in rest breaks, fuel, traffic, and deadlines. You’ll be trained to use route apps and delivery platforms to track orders and mark successful drop-offs. You’ll learn how to communicate clearly with dispatchers, clients, and recipients when delays or changes occur. You’ll help with light paperwork like delivery logs, signatures, and receipts, ensuring all documentation is accurate. You’ll help maintain proper handling of sensitive materials — including sealed envelopes, signed forms, and ID-protected items. You’ll represent the company with a positive attitude, offering polite greetings and reliable service at every door. You’ll gain experience in handling fragile, urgent, or sensitive deliveries with extra care and attention.
Basic Qualifications:
- Handle items with care, especially fragile, time-sensitive, or confidential materials.
- Obtain signatures or proof of delivery and maintain accurate delivery records.
- Prioritize urgent deliveries without compromising safety or quality.
- Handle cash on delivery (COD) transactions or digital confirmations when required.
- Follow specific handling instructions for perishable, medical, or hazardous items.
Preferred:
- Comfortable working independently and staying self-motivated on the road or during multiple stops.
- Experience making local deliveries for restaurants, stores, offices, or logistics companies.
- Understands safety practices for road use, parking, weather conditions, and personal security.
- Available for flexible shifts including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Valid driver’s license (or bicycle/motorcycle license) and a good driving record.
Benefits:
- Recognition for consistency, attitude, and hustle — not just raw speed.
- Team chat for tips, help, or just to say “good luck out there.”
- Real growth options — dispatch, operations, or logistics roles if you want them.
- You’ll learn to move smarter, faster, and safer with our training.
- Delivery bags, jackets, and gear provided — stay ready and comfortable in any weather.
You’ll be responsible for keeping records of completed deliveries and checking off each item as you go. You’ll assist with paperwork and electronic logs, ensuring compliance with delivery and mileage tracking requirements. You’ll be taught what to do if a customer isn’t home, can’t answer the phone, or if an address seems incorrect. You’ll gain knowledge of local buildings, office layouts, and traffic patterns to optimize delivery flow. You’ll work independently, but with full support from a remote operations team that tracks your route and safety. This internship is perfect for someone who enjoys staying active, being outdoors, and working independently. You don’t need experience — just a reliable attitude, a sense of direction, and a phone with a working GPS. If you’re excited to explore new routes, deliver across distances, and be trusted with high-priority cargo, we’d love to train you.
