We’re seeking a Cashier who brings consistency, courtesy, and confidence to every transaction — someone who understands that checkout isn’t just about speed, but about closing each visit on a high note. You’ll be the friendly face customers see at checkout, helping them complete their shopping with ease and satisfaction. You’ll begin by shadowing experienced staff and gradually take on more responsibility as your confidence grows. You’ll greet customers warmly, answer basic product or store questions, and make sure they leave feeling appreciated. You’ll learn how to stay organized, count change accurately, and keep your station clean and ready for the next guest. You’ll keep your area clean, organized, and stocked with bags, receipt paper, and any promotional materials. You’ll help with price checks, returns, exchanges, and receipts, always keeping a calm and respectful tone. You’ll be part of a team that values communication, teamwork, and keeping lines moving efficiently without making anyone feel rushed. You’ll restock small items near the register and help maintain the appearance of the front-of-store area.

Basic Qualifications:

• Answer questions about products, promotions, or return policies when asked.
• Count your till before and after each shift, reporting any discrepancies immediately.
• Take initiative to tidy your area during slow times or lend a hand elsewhere.
• Communicate clearly with supervisors if issues or unusual transactions arise.
• Resolve pricing errors or minor customer concerns with patience and professionalism.

Preferred:

• Comfortable interacting with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Can quickly learn and adapt to new store systems, scanners, or payment technologies.
• Knows how to balance a till, count cash drawers, and follow proper cash-handling procedures.
• Able to remain calm and courteous during peak hours, long lines, or customer complaints.
• Pays close attention to accuracy when scanning items, applying discounts, and processing returns.
