We’re offering a hands-on trainee position for someone who dreams of becoming a compassionate and capable elementary school teacher. You’ll work side-by-side with seasoned teachers, observing how they spark curiosity, build routines, and create safe, joyful spaces for learning. From day one, you’ll support young students with hands-on help during lessons, activities, and transitions throughout the school day. You’ll support the lead teacher with everything from lesson delivery to classroom organization and activity supervision. Whether helping tie shoelaces, sharpen pencils, or calm nerves before a quiz, you’ll be there — quietly building trust. You’ll get hands-on experience working with children who learn at different paces and come from diverse backgrounds. You’ll assist with setting up the classroom, organizing materials, and keeping the space welcoming and safe. You’ll practice giving clear instructions, using a calm tone, and adapting your communication to meet different needs. You’ll build relationships with students by being present, consistent, and genuinely interested in their progress and well-being.

Basic Qualifications:

• Help students navigate conflicts, build friendships, and learn emotional self-regulation.
• Support classroom cleanliness, safety, and organization daily.
• Support students’ social and emotional development through empathy, guidance, and positive reinforcement.
• Encourage curiosity, collaboration, and kindness inside and outside the classroom.
• Model patience, respect, and enthusiasm—your attitude sets the tone for your students.

Preferred:

• Able to adapt lesson plans in response to classroom dynamics or unforeseen challenges.
• Willing to supervise recess, lunch, field trips, and extracurricular activities as needed.
• Organized with lesson planning, grading, and maintaining detailed student records and portfolios.
• Certified or licensed teacher with a background in elementary education, child development, or a related field.
• Can communicate effectively with parents, administrators, and fellow educators.
