Description:

We’re offering a position for a Security System Installer Trainee — no experience required, just a calm, focused mindset and a desire to do meaningful work. You’ll help install systems that protect people’s homes, businesses, and peace of mind — quietly, carefully, and thoroughly. Your first tasks will be simple: carrying equipment, organizing tools, and watching how experienced techs work on-site. You’ll assist experienced technicians on real job sites — homes, offices, shops — learning how systems are set up in different environments. We’ll show you how to handle drills, ladders, testers, and other tools with care and precision. You’ll be shown how to mount devices, connect control panels, and test systems for reliability and accuracy. Expect to learn how to route cables cleanly, avoid signal interference, and connect systems safely to power and networks. You’ll learn how to think ahead, avoid mistakes, and double-check everything — because trust is built in the details. You’ll gain confidence reading floorplans, running cable cleanly, and spotting problems before they happen.

Basic Qualifications:

• Ensure every system is installed to prevent blind spots or weak points.
• Stay current with the latest tech in home and commercial security systems.
• Review blueprints or client needs to determine the best placement for devices.
• Explain to customers how to use their new systems in simple, clear language.
• Update firmware or configure apps when smart systems are involved.

Preferred:

• Values precision, reliability, and trust in providing systems that protect homes and businesses.
• Experience installing and configuring security systems including CCTV, alarms, access control, and motion detectors.
• Understands basic electrical wiring, low-voltage circuits, and safe handling of tools and equipment.
• Pays close attention to detail to ensure all components are correctly positioned and functioning.
• Willing to recommend system upgrades, coverage improvements, or routine maintenance practices.
