Description:

We’re hiring a motivated and dedicated Discord Moderator to join our team and help build a positive online community. You’ll be responsible for maintaining a positive and respectful environment on our Discord server, ensuring that all users follow community guidelines. You’ll monitor chat activity, keeping conversations on-topic and free of negativity, spam, and harassment. You’ll assist in organizing and moderating events, such as discussions, contests, and group activities, to keep the community engaged. You’ll work with the moderation team to address inappropriate content, provide warnings, and take action against rule violations. You’ll help organize events and activities that engage the community, encourage collaboration, and keep members active. You’ll be the first point of contact for users with questions or concerns, providing timely and helpful responses. You’ll assist in creating and updating server rules, guidelines, and FAQs to keep the community informed.

Basic Qualifications:

• Help track server suggestions, bug reports, and user feedback—passing them on to admins or developers as needed.
• Warn, mute, kick, or ban users when necessary to address spam, harassment, or other rule violations—using moderation tools like Dyno, Carl-bot, or MEE6.
• Use discretion when handling sensitive situations—don’t overshare bans, DMs, or user reports with the public.
• Encourage good behavior by recognizing helpful members, sharing wins, and reinforcing positive community norms.
• Keep an eye on voice channels, emojis, and media sharing to ensure appropriate content is being used and shared.

• Wants to help maintain a welcoming, inclusive space for people from different backgrounds.
• Thrives in collaborative, digital-first spaces and loves helping others feel welcome.
• Comfortable volunteering a few hours per week and being consistent with availability.
• Understands the importance of safety and mental well-being in online environments.
• Familiar with Discord and actively participates in servers as a community member.
