Description:

We’re hiring a Baker Trainee to join our cozy café team — perfect for someone who loves the smell of fresh pastry and wants to help create baked goods that people enjoy every morning. You’ll assist in preparing muffins, scones, cookies, and breads for the daily pastry case, learning how to work with small batches and seasonal ingredients. You’ll assist in mixing doughs, folding batters, and learning how different ingredients behave under heat and time. You’ll be trained in measuring ingredients precisely and understanding how substitutions affect texture, rise, and flavor. You’ll help prep and bake items like vegan muffins, gluten-free cookies, banana bread, or allergen-free sandwich loaves. You’ll support glazing, decorating, and finishing items like croissants, tarts, muffins, or specialty breads. You’ll assist with decorating pastries and arranging baked goods in the display case in an appealing, inviting way. You’ll assist in maintaining a clean, allergen-controlled workspace and logging batches to track consistency and safety. You’ll be taught how to complete production reports, log batch numbers, and track product movement through the facility.

Basic Qualifications:

• Stay current on baking trends, seasonal flavors, and decorating techniques.
• Bake with passion—people can taste the difference when it’s made with care.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation in compliance with food safety standards.
• Work early mornings or overnight shifts to ensure goods are ready for opening hours.
• Comply with allergen labeling and handle cross-contamination risks carefully.

• Willing to assist with early morning or overnight baking shifts depending on production schedules.
