Description:

We’re offering a Courier Trainee position for someone who’s ready to learn how to handle urgent, time-sensitive deliveries in a professional business setting. You’ll start by shadowing experienced couriers to learn optimal routes, safe driving or riding practices, and customer service basics. You’ll learn how to scan parcels, verify manifests, and double-check addresses before leaving the warehouse. You’ll be trained on how to use delivery apps, navigation tools, and scanning systems to track orders in real time. You’ll learn how to communicate clearly with customers and dispatch — especially if there’s traffic, weather issues, or delivery complications. You’ll help maintain your equipment — keeping your bike, bag, or scooter clean, safe, and in good working order. You’ll receive safety training related to traffic laws, secure packaging, and lifting techniques to avoid injury. You’ll support loading and unloading processes, learning how to organize items by route for efficiency. You’ll learn how to handle redelivery situations, no-answer drop-offs, and minor route adjustments with professionalism.

Basic Qualifications:

• Keep delivery logs updated and submit paperwork or electronic forms at the end of each shift.
• Inspect and maintain your vehicle or delivery equipment to ensure reliability throughout the day.
• Handle cash on delivery (COD) transactions or digital confirmations when required.
• Prioritize urgent deliveries without compromising safety or quality.
• Respect customers’ property and privacy while on-site for pickups or drop-offs.

Preferred:

• Pays attention to accuracy when verifying delivery addresses, order details, and recipient information.
• Able to lift and carry parcels, food containers, or lightweight furniture as required.
• Comfortable following delivery protocols, including signatures, ID verification, or contactless drop-offs.
• Familiar with handling fragile, urgent, or temperature-sensitive items appropriately.
• Willing to adhere to time windows, company policies, and delivery service standards consistently.
