Description:

We’re hiring a Shoe Repair Specialist to provide mobile footwear services — ideal for someone who’s independent, organized, and enjoys bringing skilled work directly to the customer. You’ll work on popular brands like Nike, Adidas, New Balance, Vans, and Converse, restoring structure, grip, and appearance. You’ll assist in restoring fine leather, suede, patent, and exotic skins using brand-appropriate techniques and restoration products. You’ll assist in polishing, conditioning, and waterproofing shoes to extend their lifespan and improve their appearance. You’ll offer fast services like lace replacements, heel guard installations, and weatherproof treatments in under 30 minutes. You’ll help log repairs via tablet, issue digital receipts, and track pick-up/drop-off details through the mobile dispatch system. You’ll operate grinders, finishers, hand tools, and glue presses with speed, precision, and proper safety. You’ll help organize tickets, track turnaround times, and notify clients when repairs are ready for pickup. You’ll maintain a tidy mobile station and keep your toolkit stocked, sanitized, and ready for multiple jobs per day.

Basic Qualifications:

• Provide friendly customer service, answering questions and offering care advice for different shoe types.
• Work with a variety of materials, including leather, rubber, canvas, and synthetics.
• Represent your shop or brand through quality, reliability, and respect for the craft.
• Polish, condition, and clean leather or suede shoes to improve appearance and prolong lifespan.
• Diagnose shoe damage and provide customers with clear repair options and price estimates.

Preferred:

• Wants to grow into roles like Head Cobbler, Workshop Owner, or Artisan Footwear Designer.
• Skilled in using tools such as hammers, knives, sanders, sewing machines, and adhesive applicators.
• Understands how to match replacement parts like soles, laces, and eyelets to maintain the original shoe design.
• Willing to maintain a tidy, professional workspace and uphold safety standards.
• Capable of identifying structural damage and recommending realistic, cost-effective solutions.
