Description:

We’re looking for a Barista Trainee to join our mobile coffee team — someone who’s flexible, upbeat, and ready to learn the ropes in a fast-paced, on-the-go setting. You’ll start by learning how to calibrate espresso machines, grind beans to spec, and prepare pour-over setups with care. You’ll observe and then assist with grinding, tamping, and pulling espresso shots while learning to taste and adjust for balance. You’ll be trained to take orders quickly, remember regulars, and make every interaction feel personal, even in a rush. You’ll learn how to balance speed with care, delivering drinks quickly without cutting corners on quality. You’ll be encouraged to engage with guests — not just take orders, but explain what they’re drinking and why it matters. You’ll be taught the basics of extraction, mouthfeel, and how water temperature affects flavor. You’ll pitch in on restocking shelves, folding to-go bags, and labeling syrups, pastries, or cold brews. You’ll help support daily rituals like cuppings, team calibration, and opening the café with intention and flow.

Basic Qualifications:

• Stay updated on new drink trends, brewing methods, and company standards.
• Greet customers warmly, take accurate orders, and answer questions about the menu.
• Assist in training new hires by modeling good habits and sharing tips.
• Stay calm and friendly during busy hours, managing multiple drink orders at once.
• Memorize the menu, including seasonal specials and alternative options for dietary needs.

• Able to follow drink recipes accurately while offering speed and consistency during high-volume hours.
• Values friendliness, precision, and teamwork in a service-driven environment.
• Understands how to manage customer queues, prepare orders efficiently, and maintain a welcoming atmosphere.
• Capable of supporting team members and stepping into other roles when necessary for smooth operations.
