Description:
We’re looking for an energetic and passionate Community Manager to help grow and engage our online community. You’ll be responsible for developing and executing strategies that foster positive interactions, encourage engagement, and strengthen brand loyalty. You’ll help implement strategies to increase engagement, retain members, and build a strong sense of belonging within the community. You’ll manage social media accounts, create content, and schedule posts that encourage community interaction and increase brand awareness. You’ll assist in managing user-generated content, ensuring it aligns with the brand’s values and messaging while promoting positive interactions. You’ll collaborate with the marketing team to create community-driven campaigns, events, and initiatives that drive brand awareness. You’ll create and manage community events, including virtual meetups, challenges, and special projects to boost interaction. You’ll help build relationships with key influencers and brand ambassadors to expand the community and increase brand awareness.
Basic Qualifications:
- Monitor discussions to ensure they stay respectful, on-topic, and aligned with community guidelines—stepping in calmly when moderation is needed.
- Engage with community members across platforms (Discord, Facebook Groups, LinkedIn, forums, etc.)—starting conversations, answering questions, and creating a welcoming vibe.
- Manage community tools like Discord bots, Facebook settings, or third-party integrations to keep operations smooth.
- Stay active in relevant spaces, sharing knowledge, promoting community values, and building authentic relationships.
- Create community highlights, recaps, or newsletters that showcase what’s happening and celebrate members.
Preferred:
- Comfortable addressing both praise and criticism in a professional, empathetic tone.
- Can manage multiple time zones and maintain active engagement in async environments.
- Interested in user advocacy and acting as a voice between community and company.
- Familiar with automation tools, bots, or integrations that support community management.
- Experience managing online communities on platforms like Discord, Facebook Groups, Slack, or forums.
Benefits:
- Every birthday shoutout, problem solved, or “this community feels different” comment — that’s your impact.
- Opportunities to grow into Head of Community, CX, content, or even brand strategy.
- We support async work — handle community flow in your way, not tied to a 9–5.
- If you love internet culture, organizing chaos into belonging, and turning “lurkers” into superfans — this role was made for you.
- You’ll never be alone — you’ll have backup, structure, and a team that respects emotional labor.
You’ll organize online events, contests, and other initiatives to encourage interaction and foster a sense of belonging within the community. You’ll develop a voice for the community, ensuring content and interactions reflect the brand’s tone and messaging. You’ll develop and maintain relationships with community influencers and advocates to expand brand reach and drive engagement. You’ll assist in handling customer feedback, working with customer support to resolve any service-related issues and improve the experience. You’ll work with the customer support team to address any service-related issues within the community, ensuring satisfaction. You’ll develop strategies to reward active community members and encourage participation through contests, giveaways, and loyalty programs. This remote role offers flexibility, allowing you to manage the community and contribute to its growth from anywhere. If you’re passionate about social media, community engagement, and building brand loyalty, we’d love to hear from you.
