We’re looking for a Canva Template Designer who doesn’t just follow design rules — they *bend* them to create stunning, user-friendly templates that people actually want to use. You know how to take a blank canvas and turn it into something that feels intentional, balanced, and undeniably useful. Your Canva folders are filled with layouts you’ve probably never even published (but still obsess over). You’ve likely created templates for clients or sold your own, and you understand the importance of combining flexibility with aesthetic structure. You design with the end user in mind — your templates are intuitive, versatile, and customizable without compromising style. You’re comfortable working with branding guidelines, yet creative enough to stretch them in fresh ways. Collaboration comes naturally, but so does independent execution — give you a brief and you’ll deliver 10 options before lunch. You’re collaborative, open to feedback, and always thinking about how to make the next design even better.

Basic Qualifications:

• Package files neatly with clear naming conventions and folders to make download and navigation frictionless.
• Above all, create templates people *love* to use—practical, aesthetic, and a joy to customize.
• Use Canva’s built-in features effectively: grids, frames, icons, charts, mockups, and brand kits.
• Design beautiful, functional, and easily customizable templates in Canva for various use cases—social media posts, presentations, planners, resumes, and more.
• Ensure all templates are mobile-friendly and optimized for both free and Pro Canva users.

Preferred:

• Pays attention to mobile-friendly formats and platform-specific sizing requirements.
• Comfortable creating templates that are easy to customize for non-designers.
• Enjoys making beautiful, useful resources that save others time.
• Understands visual hierarchy, spacing, and color theory for effective layout design.
• Wants to grow into roles like Brand Designer, Content Creator, or Creative Lead.
